Who we are

Tripvite is operated by Tripvite LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Questions and deletion requests: hi@tripvite.app.

What we collect

Display name, phone number, optional hometown and photo, and whatever you or a host put on a trip: who's coming, travel notes, itinerary, photos, comments. In the app, if you turn on notifications, a token for your phone so we can send them. If you block or report someone, we keep that. If you send Feedback, the note, an optional photo, and basic device and app info so we can fix things.

Why

To run your account and the trip, and to text you: a one-time sign-in code; trip invite texts when a host invites you; host (or co-host) trip update texts when you are on that trip; and itinerary reminders a host sets on a plan item. You consent on sign-in by tapping Send code (with Terms and Privacy linked). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel invite texts, trip updates, and itinerary reminders. In the app, we also send notifications you turned on, like a trip invite or someone mentioning you. A texting company gets your number to send those texts. Other companies host the product. Place search, GIF search, flight lookups, and weather go through us to companies that provide that data; they get what was searched, not your name or phone. We do not sell personal data. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not send marketing texts.

Who else can see a trip

Anyone with the invite link can open the overview. Itinerary, album, and comments are for Going, Maybe, and the host. They also see everyone's travel as soon as it's added; people who can't go or haven't answered only see Booked. When the trip starts — or earlier if the host closes the invite link — new people ask to join. Phone numbers are never on a roster.

When someone posts in a trip's Feed, they can see which members have opened it since. We don't show online status or last seen.

A shared profile may show name, photo, and hometown. Signed-in visitors may see trips you were both on, including ones that have not ended. They do not see your other plans, or your phone.

If you block someone, they can't open your profile, see your photo, or invite you in the app, and they aren't told. On trips you share, they still see your name, comments, and photos.

Delete

From Edit profile, or email hi@tripvite.app. We delete the account and take you off trips. Photos and comments you added stay up as Account unavailable. Upcoming trips you host go to the person you pick, or a Going guest can take them. A host can delete a trip from Edit trip; that removes it for everyone.

Children

You must be 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
